18ct gold bombé dress ring, with a sapphire & diamond tiara

An 18ct Yellow gold bombé ring featuring an octagonal step-cut sapphire, accented on each shoulder with four graduated round, brilliant-cut diamonds . These stones are set on top of the bombé in an unusual & unique tiara effect.  The sapphire is a strong deep navy with only minimal signs of wear. The diamonds are bright and well matched. 'Bombé cocktail & dress were often produced by the high-end jewellery houses such as Chaumet, Cartier, Boucherin in the 1970s-90s, but antique rings also occasionally appear
